Booking a venue

What is a party venue by the hour?
A private space — a café corner, a private room, a rooftop or an ice-cream parlour — booked for a fixed slot of 1.5 to 4 hours instead of a whole day. On MiniParty the slot comes decorated, the price is per hour, and you see the full price before you book.
How much does a small party venue cost?
Prices start around ₹500 per hour and vary with the city, the venue type and the guest count; the per-hour rate, any weekend surcharge and the price of each decoration level or add-on are shown on the listing, and the full order value is shown before you book.
How many guests can I bring?
Each venue sets its own range, usually between 4 and 30 guests. Anniversary and proposal spaces often start at 2. The range is shown on every listing and the booking form will not accept a headcount outside it.
How far in advance should I book?
Ideally 48 hours or more, because the host has up to 24 hours to confirm your request. Same-week bookings work when the venue has the slot free; you can book up to 180 days ahead.
Can I bring my own cake or food?
At many venues, yes. Look for the "Outside cake allowed" and "Outside food allowed" badges on the listing — they are set by the host and shown before you book.
Is decoration included?
Every listing shows its decoration levels. A basic set-up is often included free; themed balloon decor, cakes, photographers and combo packages can be added to the booking and are priced on the same page.
How does payment work?
You pay a ₹5 booking fee online to MiniParty by UPI, card or net banking when you book, on top of the order, and the full order value directly to the host at the venue, in cash or UPI. On a ₹2,000 party that is ₹5 now and ₹2,000 at the venue — ₹2,005 in all. The host receives the full ₹2,000; MiniParty doesn't take a cut from it. The booking fee holds the slot while the host reviews the request, and if the host declines or does not confirm within 24 hours, the whole booking fee is refunded automatically.
Can I cancel a booking, and how much is refunded?
Yes. Cancelling before the host confirms returns your booking fee minus the payment gateway's charge of about 2.36%, which Razorpay keeps on every payment and doesn't return — about ₹5 of the ₹5 in the example above. If the host declines or doesn't respond, or we cancel, you get the whole fee back. Once the host has confirmed, the booking fee is non-refundable, but you don't owe the rest of the order value. An advance is paid to the host directly, not to MiniParty. The host must return all of it within 3 days if they decline or don't confirm in time, if the host or MiniParty cancels the booking, or if you cancel before the host confirms. If you cancel after the host confirms, the venue's cancellation policy (shown on its page) decides how much of the advance comes back. You never owe the rest of the order value on a cancelled booking. If a host doesn't return an advance they owe, report it from your booking.
What is surprise mode?
A setting on the booking that keeps the celebration out of every message the guest of honour might see, so reminders and directions never give the surprise away.
When do I get the venue's phone number and exact directions?
After the host confirms your booking. Until then the venue's contact stays off the platform, and you can message support if you need anything.

Listing a venue

What does it cost to list my venue?
Nothing. Listing on MiniParty is free, and we take no cut from your price. Our only fee is the ₹5 booking fee the guest pays online, on top of your price, when they book; you collect the full order value from the guest at the venue. You set the hourly price, the guest range and the amenities.
What documents do I need to list a venue?
A trade licence or shop & establishment registration for the venue, and an FSSAI licence if you serve food or drink. Our team checks them before the listing goes live.
Which kinds of spaces can be listed?
Any private space that is empty for a few hours at a time: café corners and lofts, private dining rooms, rooftops and terraces, studios, gaming and board-game cafés, ice-cream parlours and small halls.
Do I have to accept every booking?
No. Every request comes to you once the guest has paid the booking fee, and you accept or decline it within the response window. For declined or unanswered requests the whole booking fee is refunded to the guest.
When am I paid?
At the venue, on the day. The guest pays you the full order value — every rupee of your price — directly, in cash or UPI, and the booking shows you the exact amount. Our ₹5 booking fee is paid by the guest on top and never comes out of it, and coupons are funded by the platform and never reduce what you collect. MiniParty never holds your money, so there are no bank details to add.
