Privacy policy

Last updated 13 October 2026

This policy explains what MiniParty collects about you, why, who it is shared with, and what you can ask us to do with it. We collect the minimum a booking needs, and we do not sell personal data to anyone.

1. What we collect

  • Account details — your name, email address, phone number and password (stored only as a one-way hash, never in readable form).
  • Booking details — the venue, date, time, guest count, occasion and any add-ons or notes you give the host.
  • Payment records — the amount, status and the payment gateway's reference for each transaction. Card numbers, UPI PINs and banking credentials are handled entirely by the payment gateway and never reach our servers.
  • Host documents — for hosts only: the trade licence or shop & establishment registration for each venue, and its FSSAI licence where food is served, with their validity dates. The files are seen only by the admins who verify them. Guests pay hosts directly at the venue, so we do not collect hosts' bank account, UPI or PAN details.
  • Support tickets — what you write to us, the contact details you give, and any screenshots or files you attach.
  • Technical data — basic server logs, and the page you were on when you raised a ticket, which is often what identifies a bug.

2. Why we use it

To take and deliver your booking, to let you and your host reach each other about it, to process the online booking fee and any refund, to verify host documents, to answer support tickets, to prevent fraud and abuse, and to meet our legal and tax obligations. We use booking data in aggregate to understand what is working on the platform — that analysis is not tied back to you personally.

We send transactional messages by email, SMS and WhatsApp: payment receipts, confirmation from the host, reminders before your slot, and refund updates. These are part of the booking, not marketing, and are not optional while a booking is live.

3. Who sees it

  • Your host sees what they need to host you: your name and your booking details. Once you have paid the booking fee, they see your phone number, so they can call you about the request and collect any advance; once they confirm, they also see your email address. If a request with an advance is declined or cancelled, they keep your number so they can return the advance; otherwise it is hidden again. They do not see your payment details. You see the host's phone number and the venue's address once the booking is confirmed.
  • Our payment gateway processes the transaction and holds the payment instrument details.
  • Our email, SMS and WhatsApp providers deliver the messages above.
  • Our support team sees your ticket and the booking it relates to.
  • Authorities, where the law requires it.

We do not sell your personal data, and we do not share it for anyone else's advertising.

4. How long we keep it

Booking and payment records are kept for as long as tax and accounting law requires. Support tickets are kept while they are useful for resolving repeat problems. If you close your account we delete or anonymise what we are not legally required to retain.

5. How it is protected

Traffic is encrypted in transit. Passwords are hashed. Access to the admin panel is restricted to named accounts, and administrative actions on bookings and refunds are recorded in an audit log.

6. Cookies

We use cookies that are necessary for the site to work — chiefly to keep you signed in and to keep forms secure. We do not use advertising cookies or third-party tracking pixels.

7. Your choices

You can see and correct your details on your profile page. You can ask us for a copy of the personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete your account — write to miniparty.in@gmail.com or raise a ticket on the contact page. We respond in writing, and we may need to verify who you are first.

8. Children

The platform is not intended for use by children on their own. Children are of course welcome at the parties themselves — a booking is simply made and held by an adult.

9. Changes

If this policy changes, the date at the top of the page changes with it. Material changes will be notified to registered users by email.
